Heiner and Andrew were building 4x4 overland expedition trucks. For Heiner a mechatronics engineer, it was part of his business. For Andrew, these were tools used to explore and film the world's most remote places.

About the EGON DC-HUB
I was reluctant at first to do the install myself but once I came across the dc hub it made life so much easier. The online tutorials aswell as cable selection and fuse tables gave me confidence that I was using the correct sizes. I had a technical question and Heiner responded really quickly. The dc hub has made my setup really versatile and I’m really happy that I decided to install it.

I took my time to ensure u got it right and to get my head around certain matters such as running the heavy duty wires from the battery. The connections were simple when I was at that stage. The real time was the design location for the wires !

I knew about this product from conception, and while planning redoing my 12v setup I thought id give it a go. Once id put it together (mounting the hub to the bracket) mounting and wiring really was very easy. Is it essential for every 12v setup? No, but it does keep everything in one location, it does cut the wiring time down and very very easy! Would I recommend? Yes. It's not cheap, so if your on a very tight budget then you'll have to take the time and wire up the old way, but if you can afford it as part of your setup, do it!
